Ryan Anthony Yoshimoto started life in Northern California nestled in the
Foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. From there he ventured over the hill
to the coast of Santa Cruz where he met a tribe of mystical flower fairies and
freakish geniuses, including Gabriel Rene (Soulstice, aquanote) who was just
a young pimp with a keyboard, at the time. The inspiration found there sent
him on a path through full moon beach parties, research into audio visual
music and design, and shooting and studying film. This journey led him to
San Francisco where he amidst several other inspired artists, raised the roof
on audiovisual design of events, tours and motion pictures.
After touring the world as a VJ and creating shows for such artists as
Ornette Coleman, Soulstice, Perry Farrell, and Crystal Method. Yoshimoto
delved further into the more sedentary yet focused world of VFX and motion
design. This led his flight from the fog encrusted rock of San Francisco to
the beaches of Lost Angels. Here he found a new life surfing the northern
coast of LA county, honing visual FX mastery in Santa Monica/Venice, and
searching out old and new emotional territories in a medium that he may have
left behind somewhere, but never forgot... music.
Now, he's proud to present here at UNO, one of his first tracks along
with a collection of new design pieces that are making their way onto the
covers of UNO recordings.
